Why We Built This Site
North Carolina court records are public for inspection when law does not restrict access, but the right record holder is often not obvious. Gaston's Clerk of Superior Court keeps records for both Superior and District Court. Portal provides public online Case Summaries, while Search Hearings and the state calendar service handle current setting checks. The purpose here is to make those divisions clear without treating a public search result as an official copy.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket guides: how criminal dockets and civil dockets are searched and read in Gaston County
- Court dates and settings: how to read the court calendar and confirm a hearing date or setting
- Case lookups: how to run a case search by party name or case number through the statewide portal
- Record requests: how court records and certified copies are requested from the clerk of court
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It has no connection to a North Carolina court, clerk, or state agency. The limits are important:
- We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
- We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
- We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
- We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now
Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
Search Partners
Some pages include search boxes operated by third-party providers. Those providers control their services, pricing, and results. A paid signup through one of those tools may result in a referral fee. That arrangement does not make a third-party result an official Gaston County court record, and the clerk remains the correct source for a certified document.
